More ImagesThe initial inspiration for this collection came from looking at the extremes of the summer and how it has its own identity within nature and the fashion industry.I have focused more of my attention on the aspects that are typically thought of when Summer is on its way like flowers, holidays, heat, the warm breeze etc…also by looking at the flowers, plants and colours that the season creates naturally I have been able to add a sense of natural movement, colour and shape. The natural colours of the season are very vibrant and contrasting while the shapes were fluid and curvaceous. It was form this point that I started to experiment with layering of shapes and silhouettes that compliment each other to create my designs. By using flowers in a simple form such as the five petal flower, I was able to create layers of colour and texture in different ways for each design. The shape of each garment is designed to be flattering to the natural female figure following the contours of the body by using light fabrics and hints of tailoring. The fabrics for the collection would be very fluid and light such as chiffons, light cotton, silks and crepes this will create a beautiful contrast in movement and natural flow to compliment the season and the body.
