More ImagesAshley Driscollcapsule collection spring/summer 2008 Fullness and Suppression. I have based my collection around the idea of 'Fullness and Suppression'. Using a variety of luxurious feminine fabrics in soft shades of Oyster, Mink, Taupe and subtle greys. I have taken inspiration from the 70's vogues, highlighting intricate details such as the manipulation of fabric, gathers, pleats, and buttons. This collection creates a modern- chic look, the idea of volume is my main influence. The use of delicate fabrics such as silk, silk jersey, georgette and chiffon create a floaty feminine feel to my collection, and the shapes flatter the female silhouette. The fabrics and colours are complimentary to different body shapes, sizes and skin tones. Thus making my garments appealing to a wide range of women. Allowing them to create an elegant, sophisticated look, whilst giving them the 'feel good factor'.
